Hmmm… Amas on a Hobie PA14?

I found the following images on the web of a converted PA and I don’t know who the individual is. I have been contemplating doing this mod to mine for a while now and was excited to see someone already has accomplished this. I’m not interested in the sailing mast portion at all – just the stability in rough ocean waters with the added legroom of the PA. With that said, I’m looking at two rear crossbars to mount the akas. Although two amas look real nice to me, the mounting of just one ama should accomplish my goal for the time being.
